Sound familiar?

You’ve been researching Bali for weeks.
And you’re still not sure.

Bali has more content written about it than almost any other destination on earth. Which is part of the problem — because a lot of it contradicts itself, none of it is specifically for families with kids, and most of it was written by someone who hasn’t actually been there with a toddler.

😩

“Is this villa actually good with kids?”

Reviews don’t tell you if the pool has a fence, if the staff can handle a toddler, or if the stairs are safe. We stayed there. We tell you.

🔀

“Which areas should we actually stay in?”

Seminyak vs Ubud vs Canggu vs Nusa Dua — every blog says something different. This guide tells you exactly what each area is good for and which order to visit them in with kids.

🦟

“What do I actually need to pack for Bali?”

Not a generic packing list. A Bali-specific one — humidity, temple dress codes, mosquito reality, baby carrier vs stroller, what you can buy there vs what to bring.

This guide answers all of it — in one PDF.

Built from our real family trip. No guessing, no contradictions, no “it depends.” Just exactly what to do, where to stay, where to eat, what to pack, and what to budget.

A look at the itinerary

Every day is planned. Nothing is left vague.

Here’s a preview of what the 14-day itinerary looks like — specific enough to follow, flexible enough to make your own.

1

Seminyak

Arrive & Settle In

🏖️ Seminyak Airport transfer → hotel. Sunset walk on Seminyak Beach. Dinner at a local warung. No agenda — you’re jet-lagged. That’s intentional.
2

Seminyak

Tanah Lot Temple

🏖️ Seminyak Day trip to Tanah Lot (go at sunset). Double Six Beach afternoon. Beach club sundowners. First real Bali day.
4

Ubud

Arrive Ubud

🌿 Ubud Transfer to Ubud (~1.5 hrs). Camphuan Ridge Walk late afternoon when it cools. The walk that made us write the blog post.
6

Ubud

Tegallalang at Dawn

🌿 Ubud Tegallalang Rice Terraces at 7:30am (go early — stunning and crowd-free). Coffee & local tea tasting. Afternoon rest.
7

Ubud

Cooking Class Day

🌿 Ubud Local Balinese cooking class — our favourite day of the whole trip. Market visit, rice paddy walk, 6+ dishes. Kid-friendly options exist.
11

Nusa Dua

Uluwatu & Kecak Dance

🌊 Nusa Dua Uluwatu Temple at sunset + Kecak fire dance. One of the most memorable experiences of the entire trip. Book in advance.
13

Nusa Dua

Beach & Spa Day

🌊 Nusa Dua Resort beach morning. Spa afternoon (Bali spas are extraordinary and affordable). Kids club if available. Everyone decompresses.
14

Nusa Dua

Final Day & Depart

🌊 Nusa Dua Bali Collection mall. Camel rides on the beach (the kids will talk about this forever). Airport transfer. Safe travels.

+ 6 more days fully planned in the guide — including waterfall day trips, the Monkey Forest warning, GWK Cultural Park, and more.
